“Beyond the Plate:
A Visual and Tasteful Journey into Korea.”

Hello, and welcome! 😀 I’m the curator and creator behind Hansik Trip.
I am someone who finds deep joy in the rhythm of a kitchen and the stories told through a well-crafted meal. To me, Hansik is far more than just food; it is a vibrant tapestry woven from art, design, literature, and centuries of tradition. I approach my table with the curious heart of a scholar and the aesthetic eye of an artist.
My days are spent balancing the meditative act of cooking—obsessing over the perfect Yangnyeom or the delicate balance of Jecheol-eumsik—with the lively energy of exploring hidden culinary gems and sun-lit cafes with my dearest friends. I believe that a meal is a sensory journey, and the beauty of a Yugi bowl is just as important as the flavor of the food it holds.
On this blog, I want to be your friendly, cheerful guide. I’m here to dive into the academic depths of fermentation, share the playful excitement of the latest dessert trends, and celebrate the invisible ingredient in every dish: Jeong(정,情).
Think of Hansik Trip as an invitation to my personal sanctuary—a place where we don’t just eat, but we observe, appreciate, and savor the art of Korean living together.
I’m so glad you’re here. Grab your Sujeo, and let’s begin our journey.
